My London Adventure: Exploring Vegan and Gluten-Free Delights

As a vegan and gluten-free traveler, I was thrilled to discover a plethora of dining options during my recent visit. Below I highlight some of the standout restaurants that made my trip truly memorable… and some not so standout ones.

EDIT - Hackney

My first culinary stop was at EDIT, a London gem that impressed me with its exceptional accommodation for dietary needs. This trendy eatery offered a wide range of vegan and gluten-free options with multiple shared plates and mains. Great for a date or company to share difference dishes. Also, they had fantastic cocktails.

Plants by Deliciously Ella - Mayfair

Plants was a plant-based heaven for me. I enjoyed their Risotto which was fantastic. I don’t remember seeing a ton of options but there were a few and the trek was worth it.

Farmacy - Notting Hill

Farmacy quickly became a personal favorite during my London stay. With a menu designed to cater to various dietary needs, this restaurant offered an extensive range of vegan and gluten-free options, completely plant-based, and no refined sugars used at all. I found myself returning multiple times, indulging in their clean and healthy dishes that showcased the perfect balance of flavors and nutrition. Also, their vegan ice cream is fireeeeeee.

Joe and the Juice - All around the city

For a refreshing juice fix, I made a pitstop at Joe and the Juice. While their smoothie options didn't particularly excite my taste buds, if you need a juice - this the place to go.

Farm Girl - Notting Hill / South Kensington

For a delightful brunch experience, Farm Girl hit all the right notes. This is a great spot if you continue to enjoy meat but also has a few vegan options, smoothies, and gf bread.

Mildreds - Multiple Locations

I enjoyed the meal that I had while there but cannot say there were too many options for someone who is vegan AND gluten-free. They have great cocktails though!

Wulf & Lamb - Multiple Locations

While not all dining experiences can be exceptional, Wulf & Lamb left me with mixed feelings. Although the restaurant offered vegan options, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. It's a spot I wouldn't necessarily rush back to, considering the abundance of remarkable alternatives in the city.

Megans - Multiple Locations

Megans provided a clean and inviting atmosphere with a variety of options suitable for vegans and meat eaters. I appreciated how accommodating the staff were, the vegan options they did have - their salads are delicious! This is a good lunch or brunch spot.

There are many other options in London and I can’t wait to try out new locations when I go back. Enjoy!
